Parents and former students of First Class Driving School (Carrollton, TX),

Green Light Driving Academy knows that both parents and students have been placed in a very difficult position with the unexpected and unannounced closing of First Class Driving School in Carrollton, TX. Green Light Driving Academy in Coppell and Grapevine is prepared to accept the full transfer of students who have not completed their classroom sessions and/or their driving lessons. We are offering classes at a discounted price for former students of First Class.

GLDA believes that learning to be a safe and defensive driver will be one of the most important skills learned during your teen’s adolescence. Good skills and habits learned during their formal driving instruction will last a lifetime.

Green Light Driving Academy’s driver education program requires a student to complete the scheduled classroom instruction before they are activated in the on-line scheduling system (Schedule2Drive) and allowed to begin the behind-the-wheel instruction. This allows the student to concentrate fully on the classroom instruction before scheduling the driving portion of the course. This requirement will apply to former First Class students, even if that student began drive lessons at First Class. (Please contact the office for details)

Green Light Driving Academy will accept the full transfer of First Class Driving School students if provided with the letter and copies of the classroom and/or driving record sheets from First Class Driving School that was sent to parents by the TEA (Texas Education Agency).

GLDA fees for former First Class Driving School students:

- Classroom Hours: $8.00 per class (two hours in length)

- Driving Hours: $35.00 per hour

- Observation Hours: NO CHARGE

- Schedule 2 Drive fee- on-line scheduling system charge: $5.00 (normally a $10 fee)

Convenient on-line scheduling of drive lessons:

- Drive lessons may be scheduled 24 hours a day 7 days a week (based on availability.)
