DPS ROAD TEST INFORMATION - TEENS & ADULTS

Payment must be made at time of scheduling.  No refund will be issued once the test has been scheduled & payment is received.

TEENS AGE 16-24

Requirements for Teens to take DPS Road Test at GLDA

  • Completion of Texas teen drivers education course & receipt of completion documents, including form DE-964 certificate)
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Held valid learner’s permit for 180 days (see date on back of permit) & permit is not expired (Class C only)
  • ITTD (Impact Texas Teen Drivers) Video Course Certificate (2 hour video) completed within 90 days of road test
YOUNG ADULTS - AGES 18-24

Requirements for Young Adults to take DPS Road Test at GLDA

  • Completion of the 6-hour Adult Driver Education course and have received the ADE-1317 Certificate showing proof of completion
  • Valid Unexpired Learner's Permit (with picture) (Class C only)
  • ITYD (Impact Texas Young Drivers) Video Course Certificate (1 hour video) completed within 90 days of road test
ADULTS - AGES 25 AND ABOVE
  • Valid Unexpired Learner’s Permit (with picture) (Class C only)
  • ITYD (Impact Texas Young Drivers) Video Course Certificate (1 hour video) completed within 90 days of road test
