ADULT DRIVING PROGRAMS

Green Light Driving Academy offers the following driving instruction packages for adults (18 years of age and over)

If interested in any of these packages, please make arrangements to come into the Grapevine office (click here for office hours) to complete our Adult Driving Instruction Contract, make a payment for those lessons desired and to make arrangements for your lessons:

Learner’s Permit Instruction Packet Package

v                        Cost - $100.00

v                        Package information:

ü            Materials provided to study for the Texas Driving Learner’s Permit Test

ü            Texas Driver’s Handbook

ü            Practice Tests

ü            List of Documents needed to obtain the learner’s permit

ü            6-Hour Defensive Driving Course (classroom) – scheduled after the student obtains their learner’s permit

NOTE:  We cannot administer the written test.  The student must take the Learner’s Permit Test at a local Texas Department of Public Safety Office (local offices è click here)

In-Car Driving Instruction Packages – student must have a valid Learner’s Permit

In-Car Instruction Package One

v                        Cost - $150.00

v                        Package information:

ü            2-hours of driving instruction, does not have to be scheduled consecutively

ü            Student will be picked up at a pre-arranged location

ü            Student must have valid learner’s permit

ü            Scheduling of first driving lesson to be done through the school office

ü            Additional hours of instruction may be purchased for $70.00 per hour

NOTE:  A Defensive Driving Course (classroom only) can be added to this package at a cost of $25.00.   4J Defensive Driving Course è click here

In-Car Instruction Package Two

v                        Cost - $280.00

v                        Package information:

ü            4-hours of driving instruction, does not have to be scheduled consecutively

ü            Student will be picked up at a pre-arranged location

ü            Student must have valid learner’s permit

ü            Scheduling of first driving lesson to be done through the school office

ü            Additional hours of instruction may be purchased for $70.00 per hour

DPS Road Test Package

v                        Cost - $150.00

v                        Package information:

ü            Green Light Driving Academy will provide vehicle for student to take driving test at the Texas DPS

ü            Student must meet instructor at a Texas DPS office to get an appointment and to take the driving test

ü            Student must have at least 2 hours of driving instruction (In-Car Instruction Package One) before scheduling a DPS Road Test

Defensive Driving Course Package

v                        Cost - $30.00 (unless taken with the In-Car Instruction or DPS Road Test Package)

v                        Package information:

ü            State Approved 6-hour Defensive Driving Course (classroom only)

ü            Scheduled through the school office

ü            Classes held on Saturdays in Grapevine, Keller and Coppell

ü            Completion Certificate good for Insurance Discounts or Ticket Dismissals
