ADULT DRIVING PROGRAMS (18 Years and Up)

PAYMENT FOR ANY OF OUR ADULT INSTRUCTION MUST BE MADE BY

CHECK (from a local bank) OR CASH. NO MONEY ORDERS OR CASHIERS CHECKS ACCEPTED. IF A CHECK IS RETURNED UNPAID, THERE WILL BE A $30.00 SURCHARGE APPLIED.

Green Light Driving Academy offers the following driving instruction packages for adults (18 years of age and over).

If interested in any of these packages, please make arrangements to come into the Grapevine office (click here for office hours) to complete our Adult Driving Instruction Contract, make a payment for those lessons desired and to make arrangements for your lessons:

Learner’s Permit  Instruction Package

18 – 25 Year Olds

A new law effective March 1, 2010 requires that any person 18 – 25 years of age must take a 6-hour driver education course in order to obtain their learner’s permit and ultimately their driver’s license.

This 6-hour on-line course will satisfy the new law and provide the student with a certificate that can be used to get their learner’s permit. Payment for this course is made directly to IamRoadReady on the website.

After you obtain your permit, please contact us if you are interested in one-on-one driving instruction. Please refer to our information below for this instruction.

26 years old and above

v Cost = $100.00

v Learner’s Permit Study Materials

- Texas Driver’s Handbook

- Practice Tests

v 6-hour Defensive Driving Course (classroom) – scheduled after the student obtains their learner’s permit (see below for additional information regarding this course)

In-Car Driving Instruction

v  Cost

-      2 hours = $75.00 per hour

-      3 or more hours = $70.00 per hour

v  Package Information

-      Minimum hours – 2

-      Student will be picked up at a pre-arranged location

-      Student must have valid learner’s permit

-      If possible, the first hour of instruction will be scheduled at time of contract signing

-      Additional hours can be purchased for $70.00 per hour

DPS Road Test Package

v  Cost - $150.00

v  Package information

-      Green Light Driving Academy will provide vehicle for student to take driving test at the Texas DPS

-      Student must meet instructor at a Texas DPS office to get an appointment and to take the driving test

-      Student must have at least 2 hours of driving instruction with Green Light Driving Academy before scheduling a DPS Road Test

Defensive Driving Course Package

v  Cost - $25.00

-      Must be purchased at the time of contract signing for one of the above packages.

-      The cost is $30.00 if purchased as a stand-alone class.

v  Package information

-      State Approved 6-hour Defensive Driving Course (classroom only)

-      Scheduled through the school office

-      Classes held on Saturdays in Grapevine, Keller and Coppell

-      Completion Certificate good for Insurance Discounts or Ticket Dismissals
