Drug and
Alcohol Driving Awareness Course (DADAP)
As part of our teen
driving curriculum, we have incorporated a new, State approved course that
covers Drug and Alcohol use and how it affects driving.
This program is commonly
referred to as the “Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness Program” or
DADAP.
Days 10, 11 and 12 of the class curriculum are the days of class where we cover this topic.
We feel that this course
will be beneficial to all students in raising their awareness of drug and
alcohol related driving issues and provide the knowledge that will help them be
better drivers.
A
certificate will be issued to the student when they have completed the full driver
education course at Green Light Driving Academy (classroom and driving
instruction). This certificate will
allow (in most cases) an additional 5% discount for students on their auto
insurance.
Special Note:
· Grapevine and Coppell locations – the cost of the certificate
is included with the course tuition.
· Trophy Club location – while all students will participate in
the DADAP curriculum as part of the driver education course, the purchase of
the completion certificate is optional.
The cost of the certificate is $15.00 for Trophy Club students only, IF
paid for at time of registration.
More
information about DADAP will be provided during our parent orientation class.
