COST:  $40.00 (payable by check, cash or credit card).  If you are a current or former (since 2005) GLDA student and are NOT taking this course for ticket dismissal, the cost of the course will be $25.00.

CLASSROOM SCHEDULE:  The 6-hour course is offered on the 4th Saturday of the month at the Grapevine Green Light Driving Academy location (280 N. Main Street in the Old Main Street Shopping Center)

CLASS HOURS:  9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Please plan on arriving no later than 8:45 a.m.  The class will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.  There will be a half-hour break for lunch and a couple of breaks throughout the day.

REGISTRATION:  While pre-registration is not required, we do recommend that you come into the office and register and pay for the course prior to the date of class to guarantee a spot.  We have room for 36 students in the class.

 

 

DRUG AND ALCOHOL DRIVING AWARENESS PROGRAM

(DADAP)

DADAP is a voluntary course that is designed to raise awareness to drug and alcohol related driving issues.

The DADAP course may provide the student with an additional 5% discount on their auto insurance and can be taken in addition to Defensive Driving Classes and the Teen Driver Education Course. 

Any age driver is eligible to participate in the DADAP course.  Please check with your insurance agent to confirm discount eligibility.

This is a six (6) hour STATE APPROVED classroom course and completion certificates are issued at the end of the course (same day).

Completion of the DADAP course may be used to dismiss an alcohol related ticket ONLY ON COURT APPROVAL.  PLEASE CHECK WITH THE COURT BEFORE REGISTRATION FOR THE DADAP COURSE TO SEE IF IT WILL BE ALLOWED TO DISMISS THIS TYPE OF TICKET.
